1. Support for new Sharp models:
2. Ability to read fragmented YO/ZQ/EL memory backup files correctly using the record index
3. Improved handling of separate Telephone files and Telephone filenames for Sharp YO/ZQ/EL models
4. RLynx-YO cable transmit now supported
5. Problems fixed:
What was new in release 2.6a (April 3, 2002):
1. Support for the following Oregon Scientific and Radio Shack Databank organizer models (manufactured by IDT):
The Models.dat and Instruct.dat files included with XLink/Win contain updates for these models.
See the Help file for more information on how to use XLink/Win with these models.
2. For various Sharp models:
For Sharp OZ models, corrected an error in Sharp OZ attribute settings in the Models.dat file, and fixed a bug which could corrupt the Name field when converting from 9-field TEL format.
For Sharp YO models supporting choice of Large Font or Small Font, a default is now set by model number. This property can be changed by model in the Models.dat file.
Fixed a program crash after receiving a complete memory backup in Backup File Only mode.
For the Sharp YO-610/620, an overflow error condition which occured when the organizer has a large number of Business Card records is corrected. Also the Tel Free Fields have been rearranged to prevent Free Field 2 from being overwritten by the Tel file name.
For Sharp EL-6790/6890, separate instructions added to Instruct.dat to correct for differences from other similar models.
3. General:
Corrected problem with exporting field names to first record of export file when "Export Field Names" checked, could cause first data record to be lost.
The parameter line Override=True can be specified in the Xlinkw.ini file to make the COMPort parameters specified in the ini file override the normal model defaults specified in the program. (This is only for experimenting to find the proper settings for a new organizer model. If your organizer is in the list already supported by XLink/Win, but it doesn't seem to be working, experimenting with this parameter will not fix it.)
Various other minor bug fixes.
